Well, we made it through another Halloween, and it won’t be long before we’re all desperately trying to get the Christmas music out of our heads, but in this happy hinterland in between the two most flamboyant holidays in the year, let’s take a look back at the best new doujin from the past month. Yes, it’s our monthly top ten! I’m gonna go fast, so strap yourselves in.

If you like lolis, then you’re in luck! At number 6 we have a game about teaching a loli who’s new to the neighborhood about the fun things you can do with the stuff you keep in your pants. It also introduces the curious Japanese culture of “denki anma”, which is when you stick your foot on someone’s crotch and is apparently something kids do a lot. No wonder Japan is in a birth rate crisis – with the play kids get up to they’re probably bored of sex by the time they reach adulthood.

To many Japanese, the term “kamikaze” represents a dark period of history that they would prefer to forget. To others, it’s a fun word to stick in the title of a hentai game. If the visuals of NTR! Kamikaze Baseball look familiar, it’s because it’s made by the same circle who brought you Rebuild! Sea-girl Aquarium. This game is all about romancing girls in and around a baseball club, and then, I guess, enjoying them getting snatched away by a variety of other guys. A lot of NTR this month, huh?
2. Phantom Thief Effy
A more traditional RPG experience greets us at number 9, with a game about a cute magic-wielding thief who infiltrates the base of an evil organization, only to find the monsters and traps awaiting her to be more than she can handle. There’s nothing stunningly original here, but the art style is pretty, and if you’re sick of NTR you can enjoy some good old-fashioned monster violation. Like grandma used to bake.
Winning the top spot this month is the loli-tastic IV?AV!!, a game all about shooting video of a girl. Through conversation you can persuade her to do a lot more than she signed up for. There’s Live2D animation to keep things moving. Just not very realistically. But hey – you weren’t looking for realism when you came in here, were you?
